Frequently asked questions:

How do I get involved?

Step 1: Make an account here

Step 2: Follow our social media for updates on trip, events, discounts, etc.

I signed up but did not receive the confirmation email!

Wanna bet it went to your spam folder? If you still can’t find it, email us at cssc.contact@gmail.com

I purchased a ticket for a trip but it still says pending?

Yes, we are aware of this! The pending does not mean anything on your end it just means that the trip has not happened yet!

Are there events other than ski trips?

Yes! The CSSC puts on off-mountain events like member shopping nights, Thirsty Thursdays, rail jams, and film screenings. Watch our social media for information on upcoming events!

Is it okay if I’m a beginner or should I already know how to ski before joining?

It’s completely OKAY! We encourage beginners to take advantage of our transportation and discounted tickets! That being said, we do not provide lessons, but you can get lessons from instructors at the ski hills. Please book your lessons with the hill ahead of time!

My friends don't go to Concordia, can they come on the trips?

Yep! They don't have to be a Concordia student to come along with us, but you could totally trick them into giving you five bucks ;)

Do I really need to get snow-pants for the trip?

Yes, unless you want to be soaking wet and freezing all day. Snow pants are a must for mountain trips and can be purchased for cheap secondhand or during spring sales.

Can I rent equipment such as goggles, helmet, etc. at the mountain?

You can rent skis, snowboard, boots and a helmet at the ski hill. Smaller accessories like goggles are usually sold for very high prices. Take advantage of our shopping nights, contact Poubelle de Ski or check Kijiji to get decked out for your next trip!

I bought tickets but cannot make it to the trip, can I have my money back?

Nope! We are a student-run, not-for-profit club and unfortunately tickets are non-refundable after purchase. Please see our policy on ticket transfers if you cannot attend a trip.

Can I pay in cash?

Yes! Schedule a time via email to come to our office to pay in cash or e-transfer. Note that tickets are only available for purchase online with a credit card.

Are there lockers at the mountain? Can we leave stuff on the bus?

You can leave stuff on the bus, like your snowboard bag, or backpack, but you cannot access it during the day. All mountains do have lockers, so if you have valuables or a lunch you brought, lock it up in a locker.
